What Is Immunity And What Does It In Elden Ring?

Read on to learn what immunity is and what it does in Elden Ring. You’ll also find out how to increase the immunity of your character.

What is Immunity In Elden Ring?

Immunity is an Elden Ring defensive stat. Immunity shows how well you can handle different poisons and rot. Stats tell you what your character’s strengths and weaknesses are. Your Attributes and Equipment decide what your defensive stats are.

Armor usually protects the player from Standard Damage, but some enemies, not just Sorcerers, can do Poison or Fire Damage, like by hitting you with a torch. Even if you have heavy armor, you will still take elemental damage without being able to stop it. If this keeps happening, you might want to Level Up your Vigor to strengthen your Immunity.

How To Increase Character Immunity?

Adding points to Vigor can raise Immunity.

Elden Ring Immunity Notes And Tips

  • Immunity goes up with the Rune Level and the Vigor Level.
  • Rune Level’s soft caps are 71, 111, and 161.
  • 40 and 60 are the soft caps for Vigor.
  • Vigor doesn’t start to make Immunity better until Level 31.

Here are the formulas to figure out Immunity on Rune Level:

  • Level 1 – 71 –> 75 + 30((Lvl+79 – 1) / 149)
  • Level 72 – 111 –> 105 + 40((Lvl+79 – 150) / 40)
  • Level 112 – 161 –> 145 + 15((Lvl+79 – 190) / 50)
  • Level 162 – 713 –> 160 + 20((Lvl+79 – 240) / 552)

Here are the formulas to figure out Immunity on Vigor:

  • Level 1 – 30 –> 0
  • Level 31 – 40 –> 30((Lvl – 30) / 10)
  • Level 41 – 60 –> 30 + 10((Lvl – 40) / 20)
  • Level 61 – 99 –> 40 + 10*((Lvl – 60) / 39)

After adding both numbers, the result is rounded down for the UI menu. Stats about how well armor protects are also added to the result.
