Blasphemous Blade Build Guide Elden Ring
Among the weapons in Elden Ring, those that can heal and reliably stagger foes are extremely uncommon. The Godskin Swaddling Cloth heals the player after each successful attack, and the Assassin’s Crimson Dagger recovers after a critical hit. These are just two of the few self-healing Talismans in the game.
What Is The Blasphemous Blade In Elden Ring?
The Blasphemous Blade is called Greatsword in Elden Ring. The Blasphemous Blade is a weapon that deals additional fire damage and primarily scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith.
Blasphemous Blade Stats
Vigor | Mind | Endurance | Strength | Dexterity | Intelligence | Faith | Arcane |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
30 | 20 | 14 | 25 | 20 | 10 | 50 | 10 |
When first obtained, the Blasphemous Blade scales equally with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith but can be upgraded to higher levels using Somber Smithing Stones. The +10 sword has Strength and Dexterity scaling of C and Faith scaling of B. Even if it isn’t maxed out, you should prioritize Faith as your primary attribute because of the Taker’s Flames Ash of War.
Even Malenia, Blade of Miquella, in her initial phase is no match for this Weapon Skill once upgraded to its maximum level, which deals over 1500 damage.

Here is where you can get your hands on the Blasphemous Blade:
Trade Remembrance of the Blasphemous with Enia at Roundtable Hold.
How To Get the Blasphemous Blade
After defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, you’ll gain access to the Blasphemous Blade at the Volcano Manor’s very end. You can trade the Remembrance of the Blasphemous with Enia for the Blasphemous Blade, and you also get Rykard’s Great Rune.
Having 22 Strength, 15 Dexterity, and 21 Faith is required to equip this Blade and use its Weapon Skill, but it’s a good idea to invest much more to make the Blade more effective. One of the most broken dual-wielding setups in Elden Ring can be obtained by entering New Game Plus and obtaining a second Blasphemous Blade.
Blasphemous Blade Incantations and Side Weapons

Due to the Blasphemous Blade’s excellent scaling with Faith, Incantations should be prioritized as a secondary part of your build. Keep your casting Seal out at all times and use it when you’re not in melee range to keep the enemy’s Poise broken at a distance and increase your damage output if you don’t use a shield.
The Blasphemous Blade’s Health regeneration effect pairs well with defensive spells like Blessing of the Erdtree, while offensive spells like the Flame of the Fell God create attack windows. If Incantations aren’t your thing, a 100% block shield in the offhand is always helpful, or you can unlock a unique dual-wield moveset by equipping another Faith-based Greatsword. You can’t go wrong with the Godslayer’s Greatsword, the Golden Order Greatsword, or the Greatsword of Ordovis.
Complements to the Blasphemous Sword: Talismans and Armor
The Blasphemous Blade has two primary uses: first, it can protect its wielder from multiple foes, and second, its Weapon Skill can cause almost any opponent to fall to the ground. Leverage Talismans that enhance these qualities. With the Carian Filigree Crest, the Taker’s Flames skill becomes a serious cost-effective powerhouse, and with the Shard of Alexander, it becomes unstoppable.
The Taker’s Cameo is a talisman that pairs exceptionally well with the Blasphemous Blade, as its passive effect of restoring health when an enemy has killed stacks with the weapon’s own. In addition, if you equip the Assassin’s Cerulean Dagger, your FP and HP will be replenished after each successful kill.
In terms of Elden Bling, there are a few ways to go that are in keeping with the Blasphemous Blade’s macabre style. Lord of Blood’s Robe and similar light clothing items help keep Weight down while also complementing the color scheme of the weapon. The Consort’s Set, whose helmet is ideally suited for a wielder of such Blasphemous armament, can be obtained by reloading the boss room after defeating Rykard and killing the person you find near his corpse.
